Grace L. Haldeman, 89, of Quentin, Pa., died Friday, June 12, 2009 at her residence.
She was the widow of Russel W. Haldeman who died in 1986.
Born in Lebanon, Pa. on August 22, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Anna M. (Lowe) Berger.
She was a graduate of Lebanon High School and had been the food service manager at Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pa. for 10 years and retired as the snack bar manager at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.
She was a member of Quentin United Church of Christ; Farm Women Group 16; Ladies Auxiliary of the Quentin Fire Co.; served for several years as a Republican Committee woman; and enjoyed knitting, gardening and cooking.
She is survived by daughters Susan Hawley of Quentin and Lucinda wife of Norman Long of Downingtown, Pa.; son Brian Haldeman of Quentin; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 19, 2009 at 11 am. from Quentin United Church of Christ, 11 Main Street, Quentin, Pa. There will be no viewing. Interment at Quentin Cemetery.
