A. Dubbs
Mary A. Dubbs, 96, of Reading, Pa., formerly of Fredericksburg, Pa., died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Berks Heim, Reading.
She was the widow of Fred W. Dubbs who died in 1991.
Born in Frystown, Pa. on October 30, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Reily and Cora (Miller) Dubbs.
She had been employed at Sterling Drug, Myerstown for 13 years, retiring in 1979. Prior to working at Sterling Drug, she had been employed for 40 years at the former Liebowitz's Shirt Co., Myerstown.
She was a member of St. Paul's UCC, Hamlin and the Frystown Lionettes. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting afghans.
She is survived by a son Clayton R. Dubbs of Reading; 2 granddaughters; 6 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters Arlene Reed, Carrie Noll and Helen Schlappich.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 11 am. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, Pa. Viewing Tuesday at 10 am. Interment at Hamlin Cemetery, Bethel Twp., Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's UCC, 129 Chestnut Hill Road, Fredericksburg, Pa. 17026.
