Helen E. Bordner, 91, formerly of Myerstown, died Thursday February 16, 2012 at the Brethren Village, Lancaster.

She was the widow of Raymond C. Bordner who died December 23, 1996.

Born in Womelsdorf on April 8, 1920, she was the daughter of the late George J. and Sallie (Umberger) Schaeffer.

She was a member of Myerstown UCC and the Lebanon Flower Club and enjoyed flower gardening.

She is survived by daughters Sally Eisenhauer of Wernersville and Susan wife of James Hess of Lancaster; grandchildren Timothy Eisenhauer, Deborah Ginder, Peter Eisenhauer, Dr. Steven Hess, Dr. Cynthia Hess; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters Miriam Miller, Beulah Behney, Carrie Brubaker and brothers George, Richard and Warren Schaeffer.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. from Myerstown U.C.C.
Viewing Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the church. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Myerstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Myerstown U.C.C., 310 W. Main Ave. Myerstown, PA 17067. Grose Funeral Home, Myerstown has been entrusted with the arrangements.
