Justin K. Huie, Funeral Director

Justin’s interest in the helping nature of funeral service was first sparked during his high school years when he held a summer job at Grose Funeral Home. He went on to graduate from ELCO High School and West Chester University where he earned a Bachelor of Music degree. Realizing his early calling to funeral service, Justin decided to attend mortuary school and return to Grose Funeral Home in the capacity of a Resident Intern. Justin received his Pennsylvania Funeral Director’s License in 2006 and in January 2008, was honored with the invitation to return to his mortuary school alma mater, Northampton Community College, and serve as a full time instructor in the Funeral Service Education Department. During this time, Justin began graduate studies in education at Albright College where he will be completing a Master of Science degree in the near future. In January 2011, Justin decided it was time to return to Grose Funeral Home and continue Kathy Grose’s long tradition of providing area families with comfort and trust in their time of need. Justin’s written work has been published in Mortuary Management and Nomis Publications, both prominent funeral service trade publications. A lifelong musician, Justin is often heard singing for funeral services, church services, and most recently with OperaLancaster at the Fulton Theatre in January 2011. Justin is a member of Zion United Methodist Church, Myerstown, and resides in Myerstown with his wife, Emily, son, Avery, and daughter, Myla.
